Killin time waitin for baby!

Soooo i'm sittin in the hospital now! This morning was our scheduled weekly appointment and the doctor was a little concerned because I mentioned that Monday I really hadn't felt much movement from my usually very active little boy. She was in a rush because another patient was ready to push at the hospital so she told me I should head over to another office for monitoring. I believe the test was called an LST. They set me up on a baby fetal monitor and told me to push a button every time I felt the baby move. Well in the first 20 min. he only moved maybe two times so in order to kick that into gear they gave me some apple juice. After drinking the juice there still wasn't much change so she said she would like to have the doctor check my results. About a minute later she came back in the room and said they weren't thrilled with the babys response so I needed to head to the hospital. Of course I semi panicked! I called Doug who I thought was going to have a heart attack and told him he needed to meet me at the hospital. It was a tense drive over because I didn't have much information about what was really going on.
As soon as I got to the hospital they put me back on the monitoring and there really wasn't any change...he still wasn't moving or responding to any of the little vibrating noise makers they were putting on my belly. They called my doctor and she said ok admit her we'll enduce! Obviously me and Doug were standing in the room like WHAT!!!! Did she just say what I think she said!?! She even went as far as saying "Hey girl looks like you're having your baby today or tomorrow!" Wow...a bit of a shock. Well suddenly that spike in my emotion caused our little man to wake up and move all around squirmin like a worm! So of course they then thought well maybe all is well and maybe you won't have the baby today! OMG!? We were like please don't toy with our emotions this is nutty enough!! Our doctor was then called in so she could check herself and after a 20 minute ultrasound she said yeah he's not responding the way I want him to so let's go ahead and enduce you...Ahhh how nice to have a definite answer...the one we had been waiting for all day! After that I was able to calm waaayyy down but then it hits me...WE'RE HAVING A BABY!
So now here I sit killin some time just waitin on this cervadil to run it's course! They tell me it'll take up to 12 hours so who knows when all will progress but hey i'm down for anything at this point...bring on the pain!

Bulging Baby Monster

Welp there it is! Haha a nice ripe 37.5 weeks along and yes it keeps growing! I really hope this means he is getting closer to coming out but my patience is still intact! Doug and I have been doing so much to prepare lately making the whole situation seem so real! It's actually happening! He will be in that carseat soon, he will be sleeping in those little itty bitty PJ's, all this tiny laundry will be for him to cuddle with...AHHH!
We are very excited that's for sure...I hope it all goes smoothly and I pray it won't go past my due date : )!!!! My doctor says she won't enduce unless there is something wrong or if I go 2 weeks past the due date so i've gotta just hope he isn't stubborn!! Ha I'm loving every moment though...for now ha

Big Belly Getting Bigger

I've been printing pictures for my thank you notes along with pics starting this baby journey and it hit me how big my belly has gotten! This picture to the right was taken at our 20 week appointment and if you compare that to the maternity pictures we just took it's almost shocking how HUGE Amie is. Or I guess how big Mr. Trykk is haha. Makes me laugh because I thought I was soo big around 20 weeks ha yeah right!! Then you don't even realize how much bigger it does get! SHOCKING!
I must admit I'm getting to that point where I feel like I may not be able to take much more of this! I am beyond tired this last week and at the same time going stir crazy. I feel like I should be doing so much right now but theres not much I can do! This weekend coming up will be the first weekend I've had to just sit and relax since before Thanksgiving! I've threatened Doug that if he doesn't get his butt home from work early to spend time with me I will be going on strike from scratching his back for a whole week! Please come out soon little boy...we want to meet you :)

Oh Miss Becca how I adore you :)! I'm really happy with the pictures thus far and of course i'm dying to see the rest! I look so much like my mom it's disgusting! I just can't wait for that little booger to come out...my belly is still not getting any smaller haha!! Yay...!

Baby Shower : )

The baby shower went off without a hitch and I couldn't be happier about the outcome! We had soo much fun and I was soo excited to see old friends and new ones surrounding our joyous occasion! Both of our families came and friends really came through with the most awesome gifts! We got so much and I don't even think it possible to express how thankful we are!!! Thank you to everyone for your love and support! Missed everyone else who couldn't be there as well!!

Thank goodness for a new year! 2010 here we come!

Oh how the time goes...slipping right through my fingers! I'm so ready for my baby shower because after that I can calm down and let things happen as they should! This baby is growing by the day and I fear my stomach can't stretch to much more. Or I suppose I just don't want it to haha! I already can't reach my toes...well I probably could but it's a struggle and somewhat painful at that. I wake up more during the night and with that comes increased bathroom breaks as well as waking up Dougie to get me water :). He hates that part of course.

We are both very excited after taking a tour of the hospital where the baby will be born. I looked at him and said "I'm getting nervous babe!" and he says "Me too but excited nervous!". Seeing that smile on his face was enough to make me melt. I know he is going to be such an outstanding Daddy! I feel so blessed to have him by my side!

Doug and I went to the sand dunes for our New Years holiday!! We had sooo much fun playing in the sand! Ha just kidding. We got to ride around in some really cool stuff but of course I took it easy. Doug was really good about driving slow enough that it wouldn't shift me into labor! We got to spend time with some really great friends and again ensures all the blessings of a new year! I can't wait to see how 2010 continues...BRING IT ON!

Little Boogers First Pictures!!

So we got some pictures of baby Trykk! Look at that little fat face :)!! She had a really hard time getting a good shot of his face because the placement of my placenta is right on top of his little body. I thought they turned out pretty good though because with what we did get I can imagine what he looks like...cause I'm his momma! The last one is my favorite one for sure!

We got a good one of his hands too...we counted all his fingers and toes :)! He looks exactly like Dougie too it's a little creepy! We aren't even sure if he's mine anymore haha!! Joke..
