Fussy Mr. Muffin!

Yes I have dubbed my adorable son Muffin! Haha everyone thinks i'm nuts but I have the funniest pet names for people and so far my favorite one for Trykkster is Muffin :). Ha I love him! Not the most amazing picture but I just think he is so cute all propped up in his boppy pillow. He really likes to sit up and look around...aww my little Muffin!!

Trykk is 11 days old now and I can tell he is getting bigger. He is finally starting to fill in his newborn clothes! When he was born at 6 pounds 11 ounces I thought wow what a small baby! Then when we left the hospital he had dropped to 6 pounds 4 ounces so of course it was noticeable on such a tiny thing. At his first doctors appointment he had climbed a little to 6 pounds 6 ounces so it felt good to see we were on the up and up! I'm curious what his weight will be at our appointment tomorrow.

Last week he had his circumcisn and that was the most horrible experience I have ever been through! To any future mom: Do NOT watch or even go in the room where they snip your little man! I walked in that door and completly lost it! I could not get a hold of myself and they hadn't even done anything yet! Boy oh boy! As a new Mommy I had no idea that would be so hard...I am dreading his shots :(. Word to the wise get it done in the hospital! Trykk has been soo fussy since his procedure. He just doesn't seem like his happy little self since then and I am about to drive myself crazy with the breastfeeding process. I refuse to give up because it is so important to me to give him the benefits of breast milk. It is certainly not easy though...

  1. I totally feel your pain about breastfeeding! It was awful for me for the first little while. if you want, you can message me over facebook with your concerns and I can see if I can help you out!

  2. it'll seem like a system will never be down, then all the sudden.. BAM! and you have a system down! It's tough at first, but it's def the best thing for your little muffin :)
I can't imagine having to go through the whole "snip" thing. pku's and shots are bad enough!
The things we go through for our little loves.

  3. hey amber - this is lindsey (parker). your little one is so cute! the shots are sucky but not nearly as bad as the circumcision. they fuss for just a few seconds and get over it. the breastfeeding will get better. i hate hate hated it and wanted to quit like 100 times but now i have to ween my little one in 2 months and i'm actually kind of bummed about it. it saves a fortune, its easy because you dont have to worry about packing around enough formula and once you get used to it doing it out in public it isn't a big deal. i know it seems soo time consuming right now and i thought i'd never have time to get anything done but once you get a system figured out you'll end up with more time than you know what to do with! good luck & congratS!!

  4. He is sooo cute! Don't you just love being a mom? Like everyone else has said, don't give up yet. You can always call your Dr's office and see who they can refer you to for help. Or google the Le Leche league and see who is in your area. Sometimes, it just takes an expert to come and tell you to try a simple change and it helps. If its from pain, because I had alot when I first started, look at Walgreens or Motherhood Maternity for these little gel pads you were in between feedings. I got them and kept them in the fridge. Then after Hudson ate I would put them on and they felt so much better! Also, they are huge, so cut them into fourths and you'll have plenty. Hope this helps!
